NOVELTY - Graphene oxide-cadmium sulfide magnetic composite microsphere comprises polymer magnetic microsphere, graphene oxide and cadmium sulfide, where the polymer magnetic microsphere is covered with iron(II,III) oxide nanoparticles, polymer magnetic microsphere is poly(styrene-maleic anhydride)copolymer microsphere, graphene oxide is coated on magnetic microsphere surface, and cadmium sulfide is attached to graphene oxide surface. USE - Graphene oxide-cadmium sulfide magnetic composite microsphere. ADVANTAGE - The graphene oxide-cadmium sulfide magnetic composite microsphere is prepared in simple manner and recycle easily, and has good photocatalytic performance. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for preparing graphene oxide-cadmium sulfide magnetic composite microsphere, which involves: (A) mixing iron(II,III) oxide nanoparticles and polyethylene glycol; (B) mixing the stirred material with styrene monomer to obtain obtain solution 1; (C) dissolving azodiisobutyronitrile, maleic anhydride and polyethylene pyrrolidone in ethanol; (D) adding the dissolved material with water to obtain solution 2; (E) mixing and treating the solution 1 and 2 to perform with ultraviolet light for 20-30 hours and then centrifuging, washing and drying the treated material to obtain obtain polymer magnetic microsphere; (F) dispersing polymer magnetic microsphere in water ultrasonically to obtain polymer magnetic microsphere dispersion; (G) stirring the obtained dispersion with graphene oxide dispersion liquid for 10-20 minutes to obtain obtain graphene oxide-polymer magnetic microsphere; (H) adding the obtained material with mixture of soluble cadmium salts and soluble thiosulfate; (I) dispersing the obtained material ultrasonically to obtain precursor solution; (J) treating the precursor solution with ultraviolet light for 6-24 hours and then centrifuging the treated material; and (K) washing and drying the obtained precipitate to obtain the desired product.
