NOVELTY - Preparation of graphene involves preparing graphene oxide through Hummers oxidation method from flake graphite, adding alkali as catalyst and thiourea dioxide as reducing agent at 40 degrees C, stirring, carrying out reducing reaction for 0.5-4 hours, performing suction filtration of the resultant mixture, washing and drying. USE - Preparation of graphene (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method economically and efficiently provides graphene, by a simple process without addition of organic solvent. The graphene is environmentally-friendly.
