NOVELTY - Preparing modified graphene expandable polystyrene (EPS) particle comprises (1) mixing 5 wt.% sodium borohydride and 10 wt.% sheet graphene, then mixing with 30 wt.% alkyl benzene sulfonic acid, ice bath for 2 hours, the temperature is -10 degrees C, (2) mixing with 40 wt.% ammonia, and heating at 100 degrees C, (3) mixing with styrene monomer, and using suspension polymerization method to polymerize into polystyrene particles, (4) performing polymerization and foaming with 15 wt.% n-pentane under normal pressure at 100 degrees C to obtain graphene-modified polystyrene foamed particle, and (5) heating, pressurizing and foaming graphene modified polystyrene foaming particles to prepare particles. USE - The method is useful for preparing modified graphene expandable polystyrene (EPS) particle. ADVANTAGE - The method: solves high thermal conductivity of traditional EPS insulation mortar, low compressive, flexural strength, low shrinkage and cracking resistance. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for: (1) modified graphene EPS mortar comprising 20-30 pts. wt. modified graphene EPS particle, 200-250 pts. wt. cement, 25-50 pts. wt. fly ash, 1-1.5 pts. wt. water holding component, 0-5 pts. wt. rubber powder, 2-5 pts. wt. vitrified micro-bead, 0-0.5 pts. wt. fiber component and 120-150 pts. wt. water; and (2) preparing modified graphene EPS mortar comprising (i) mixing cement, fly ash, vitrified micro-beads, water retention component, fiber component, modified graphene EPS particles and rubber powder into mixer, dry mixing for 3 minutes at speed of 120-200 revolutions/minutes in the mixing machine, (2) adding water in dry mixing for 1 minutes, and then wet stirring for 2 minutes at rotating speed of 120-200 revolutions/minutes, (3) stopping for 30-60 seconds after wet mixing, continuously wet mixing for more than 2 minutes at the rotating speed of not less than 200 revolutions/minutes.
