NOVELTY - Preparing nitrogen, sulfur co-doped graphene-supported copper oxide catalyst involves using improved hummers process to obtain graphite oxide, mixing graphite powder and sodium nitrate in ratio of 1.5-3.5:1, adding concentrated sulfuric acid and potassium permanganate for oxidation, after three stages at (35-98 degrees C) of low temperature, medium temperature and high temperature, adding hydrogen peroxide, and then centrifuging, precipitating, washing and drying to obtain GO. The obtained GO is dissolved in water, sonicated, then thiourea is added to continue sonication, and finally mixture is transferred to autoclave for reaction at temperature of 160-200 degrees C, cooled to room temperature after reaction, and then centrifuged. USE - Method for preparing nitrogen, sulfur co-doped graphene-supported copper oxide catalyst. ADVANTAGE - The method enables to prepare nitrogen, sulfur co-doped graphene-supported copper oxide catalyst that promotes diffusion of reactant in electro-catalytic process, enhances EGO activity, improves conductivity and accelerates charge transfer for efficient electro-catalysis. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparing nitrogen, sulfur co-doped graphene-supported copper oxide catalyst involves using improved hummers process to obtain graphite oxide, mixing graphite powder and sodium nitrate in ratio of 1.5-3.5:1, adding concentrated sulfuric acid and potassium permanganate for oxidation, after three stages at (35-98 degrees C) of low temperature, medium temperature and high temperature, adding hydrogen peroxide, and then centrifuging, precipitating, washing and drying to obtain GO. The obtained GO is dissolved in water, sonicated, then thiourea is added to continue sonication, and finally mixture is transferred to autoclave for reaction at temperature of 160-200 degrees C, cooled to room temperature after reaction, and then centrifuged, washed, vacuum dried to obtain NSG, dispersed NSG suspension in N,N-dimethylformamide, adjust NSG concentration to 0.002-0.007mol/L, concentration of N,N-dimethylformamide is 0.001-0.002mol/L, after heated, Cu(Ac)2 solution is added to adjust concentration of Cu(Ac)2 to 0.011-0.019 mol/L, after reaction, precipitate is centrifuged, precipitate is dispersed in deionized water and transferred to autoclave for period of time for (10-14 hours), reaction temperature is 160-200 degrees C, after cooling. The product copper oxide/NSG is collected by centrifugation, washed multiple times, and then dried in vacuum. The N, S are co-doped with graphene as hetero atom and carrier material is copper oxide and dopant is selected from one or more of nitrogen, sulfur, phosphorus, boron, chlorine, fluorine, and amino acid, The carrier material is copper oxide, nickel oxide, cobalt oxide.
