▎ 摘  要

NOVELTY - Pavement composition comprises a bituminous conglomerate, graphene, and aragonite. USE - Pavement composition used in making paved road (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The pavement composition has higher mechanical performance and/or being more fire resistant, increases strength compared to conventional pavement compositions without aragonite and/or graphene. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) a method for making a paved road with improved mechanical properties, which involves mixing the composition under stirring at 130-200 degrees C to form a hot pavement composition and laying the composition on a ground surface with mechanical pressure to make the paved road; (2) a calcium carbonate-based composition, which comprises restructured calcium carbonate particles which is coupled with matrix molecules, where restructured calcium carbonate particles have an average diameter less than or equal to 10 mm; (3) a method for making the composition, which involves treating the aragonite with an acid and a chelator to unstructure the aragonite and recrystallizing the unstructured aragonite; and (4) a method for making a calcium carbonate-based composition, which involves preparing aragonite slurry comprising unstructured aragonite, reconstituting the unstructured aragonite as restructured calcium carbonate particles and morphing the restructured calcium carbonate particles into a customized form.
