NOVELTY - An oxidizing agent is prepared by mixing natural flake graphite, potassium sulfate, phosphorus pentoxide and concentrated sulfuric acid, stirring at 75-85 degrees C in water bath for 4.5-5 hours, cooling to room temperature, diluting with deionized water, suction filtering, repeatedly washing with deionized water, and drying to obtain pre-oxidized products; and adding the pre-oxidized products with concentrated sulfuric acid, stirring, adding potassium ferrite, reacting, and obtaining graphene oxide crude product. USE - Method for preparing oxidizing agent (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method produces product with high oxidation degree with no impurities. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparing oxidizing agent comprises mixing natural flake graphite, potassium sulfate, phosphorus pentoxide and concentrated sulfuric acid at a ratio of 1-3:2-3:2-3:36-56, stirring at 75-85 degrees C in water bath for 4.5-5 hours, cooling to room temperature, diluting with deionized water, suction filtering, repeatedly washing with deionized water, and drying to obtain pre-oxidized products; adding the pre-oxidized products with concentrated sulfuric acid, stirring, adding potassium ferrite, reacting at room temperature for 2.5-3 hours, and obtaining graphene oxide crude product; and pouring the crude product in 100-150 pts. wt. ice water and 90-120 pts. wt. 5-8% dilute hydrochloric acid solution, cooling to room temperature, centrifuging, washing residual solids with deionized water, and drying.
