NOVELTY - Manufacture of zinc oxide nanowire/graphene composite foam involves immersing surface-coated polymethyl methacrylate foam graphene in hydrochloric acid and acetone, transferring foamed graphene on indium-tin oxide glass, washing, adding zinc oxide, precasting, forming zinc oxide seed layer using solution of zinc acetate and methanol, ultrasonic-cleaning, drying, dissolving zinc nitrate and hexamethylene tetramine in deionized water, magnetically-stirring, performing hydrothermal reaction, pouring hot water, coating the solution on product, heating, incubating, and cooling. USE - Manufacture of zinc oxide nanowire/graphene composite foam used as working electrode (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The zinc oxide nanowire/graphene composite foam is manufactured efficiently with reduced sensitivity and high detection limit. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Manufacture of zinc oxide nanowire/graphene composite foam involves placing nickel foam in a quartz tube furnace, heating under argon and hydrogen atmosphere at 1000-1100 degrees C at heating rate of 20-40 degrees C/minutes for 30-60 minutes, passing methane gas for 5-20 minutes, cooling to room temperature at rate of 80-100 degrees C/minutes, forming foamed nickel-wrapped graphene, dissolving poly(methyl methacrylate) in ethyl lactate, heating to 80-120 degrees C for 1-2 hours, stirring, dripping the mixed solution on foamed nickel-wrapped graphene, drying at room temperature, incubating at 150-200 degrees C for 0.5-1 hour, forming surface-coated polymethyl methacrylate foam graphene, immersing surface-coated polymethyl methacrylate foam graphene in hydrochloric acid, removing nickel, immersing surface-coated polymethyl methacrylate foam graphene in acetone at 60-70 degrees C for 0.5-1.5 hours, removing poly(methyl methacrylate) from foamed graphene, transferring foamed graphene on indium-tin oxide glass, washing with distilled water, adding zinc oxide, precasting at 150-200 degrees C for 20-30 minutes, forming zinc oxide seed layer using solution of zinc acetate and methanol, ultrasonic-cleaning in acetone for 15-20 minutes, ethanol for 15-20 minutes and deionized water for 15-20 minutes, drying at room temperature, dissolving zinc nitrate and hexamethylene tetramine in deionized water, magnetically-stirring for 3-5 minutes, performing hydrothermal reaction, pouring hot water, coating the solution on product, heating at 90-110 degrees C for 6-12 hours, air-cooling to room temperature, incubating at 400-450 degrees C for 1-1.5 hours, and cooling to room temperature.
