NOVELTY - The production of graphene/copper base composite material involves mixing graphene powder and 1-5% polyvinyl alcohol binder, pressing to obtain compact structures, sintering compact structures in nitrogen atmosphere at 800-1000 degrees C to form graphene preform, immersing graphene preform in molten copper under nitrogen atmosphere, cooling to obtain copper coated graphene ingot, isostatically hot pressing package containing copper graphene ingot, passing argon gas, melting copper, electrically heating using argon gas, heat preserving, and cooling furnace to below 100 degrees C after 1-2 hours. USE - Large-scale industrial production of graphene/copper base composite material (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method enables production of graphene/copper base composite material using simple process and reduced cost, and the composite material has high density, dynamic property, excellent heat guidance, electric conduction and automatic lubricating property. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - The production of graphene/copper base composite material involves mixing graphene powder and 1-5% polyvinyl alcohol binder, evenly pressing on a hydraulic press at controlled pressure of 200-300 MPa to obtain compact structures, sintering resulting compact structures in nitrogen atmosphere at 800-1000 degrees C to form graphene preform, immersing graphene preform in molten copper under nitrogen atmosphere at 1200-1400 degrees C, cooling to obtain copper coated graphene ingot, isostatically hot pressing package containing copper graphene ingot at 350-500 degrees C under 80-180 Pa pressure, passing argon gas at 0.1-0.2 MPa pressure, melting copper under vacuum degree 100-800 Pa, electrically heating using argon gas, heat preserving at 1200-1380 degrees C and 80-90 MPa, and cooling furnace to below 100 degrees C after 1-2 hours to obtain graphene/copper base composite material with reduced porosity.
