NOVELTY - A surface modified graphene oxide based additive for lubricating oil, comprises graphene oxide containing bile acid salt or derivative. The thickness of surface-modified graphene oxide is 0.17-1.4 nm. The size of the film is 10-1000 nm. The mass percentage in lubricating oil is 0.01-0.9%. USE - Surface modified graphene oxide based additive for lubricating oil e.g. vehicle lubricating oil (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The lubricating oil additive is prepared by simple process, and has high repetition rate, high dispersibility, high anti-friction properties and reduces the loss of the engine.
