NOVELTY - A lithium ion battery anode material comprises a core unit containing submicron structure of active lithium storage composition, and a conductive housing unit containing graphene nanosheets having thickness of 5-12 nm, where the anode material is a core shell structure. The core is embedded by uniform dispersion of amorphous nanocrystalline silicon carbide particles with particle size of 1-200 nm. The housing unit has a uniform package coated on a silicon outer layer. USE - Lithium ion battery anode material. ADVANTAGE - The anode material has stable structure, increased electrical conductivity, high circulation property and long shelf-life. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for a method for preparing the lithium ion battery cathode material, which involves milling 30-60 mass% of silicon powder and tungsten carbide powder under a protective gas atmosphere at a speed of 800-1600 rpm for 5-35 hours to obtain silcion tungsten carbide composite powder, and milling 30-60 mass% of silcion tungsten carbide composite powder and graphite powder under a protective gas atmosphere at a speed of 800-1600 rpm for 5-15 hours to obtain the anode material.
