NOVELTY - Modification of graphene oxide carboxyl functionalization involves reducing graphene oxide using alkali, generating defect sites in the base surface of the graphene oxide, oxidizing the graphene oxide with the defect sites using an oxidizing agent, and obtaining carboxyl at the defect site of the graphene oxide. The oxidizing agent comprises potassium permanganate and concentrated sulfuric acid, or potassium permanganate and perchloric acid. USE - Modification of graphene oxide carboxyl functionalization. ADVANTAGE - The method has simple operation, low cost, and is good for carboxyl functional application of graphene oxide.
