NOVELTY - Ruthenium graphene composite two-dimensional material comprises graphene and metal ruthenium adsorbed on the graphene where the metal ruthenium is dispersed in a single atom, the loading amount of ruthenium in the ruthenium graphene composite two-dimensional material is more than 10 wt.%. USE - Ruthenium graphene composite two-dimensional material used as hydrogen evolution electro-catalyst (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The ruthenium graphene composite two-dimensional material effectively solves the problem of low load of ruthenium single atom. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for a method for preparing ruthenium graphene composite two-dimensional material which involves: i. preparing a dispersion containing a ruthenium precursor a metal A precursor and a graphene oxide; ii. drying the dispersion liquid, annealing to obtain the ruthenium+/graphene two-dimensional material where the ruthenium + A/ graphene two-dimensional material comprises graphene and metal ruthenium and metal A adsorbed on the graphene, the atom diameter of the metal A is greater than the atomic diameter of the metal ruthenium; iii. corroding the metal A in the ruthenium + A/graphene two-dimensional material by corrosive liquid obtain the ruthenium graphene composite two-dimensional material.
