NOVELTY - Graphene nano-segment molecule containing azulene unit-azulene and rubicene compound (T) i.e. azuleno5,6,7,8,1-uvwxacycloheptaijklrubicene compounds (I), or (II), is new. USE - (T) is useful in near-infrared absorption photodetection, field-effect transistors, organic solar cells, and organic light-emitting diodes (claimed). ADVANTAGE - (T): have unique photophysical and electrochemical properties, and have good photoelectric functions. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Graphene nano-segment molecule containing azulene unit-azulene and rubicene compound (T) i.e. azuleno5,6,7,8,1-uvwxacycloheptaijklrubicene compounds of formulae (I), or (II), is new. R1and R2= H, fluoro, chloro, bromo, iodo, trifluoromethyl, nitro, ester group, carboxy, 4-18C straight-chain or branched-chain alkyl, 4-18C linear or branched alkoxy, aromatic ring (optionally substituted with H, fluoro, chloro, bromo, iodo, trifluoromethyl, nitro, ester group, carboxy, 4-18C straight chain alkyl or branched chain alkyl, 4-18C linear or branched alkoxy, 4-18C straight chain or branched chain alkylamino, trimethylsilyl, triisopropylsilyl, tert-butyldimethylsilyl, or 1,1-dimethylhydroxymethyl), 4-18 C straight chain or branched chain alkylamino, trimethylsilyl, triisopropylsilyl, tert-butyldimethylsilyl or 1,1-dimethylhydroxymethyl; and aromatic ring = benzene ring, thiophene ring, pyridine ring, pyrrole ring, furan ring, pyrrole ring, naphthalene ring, anthracycline, pyrene ring or perylene ring.
