NOVELTY - Alkaline aqueous secondary batteries based electroactive covalent organic framework polymers comprises covalent organic framework polymer-based cathode, aqueous supporting electrolyte solution, separator and cobalt-nickel double hydroxide-based anode. The cathode active material is covalent organic framework polymer containing redox-active quinone or azine structural units. USE - The alkaline aqueous secondary battery is useful in the fields of large-scale electricity storage of renewable energy and power grid peak regulation (claimed); and in the field of electrochemical energy utilization. ADVANTAGE - The battery has low cost, long cycle life, high energy density, and easy recycling; and is safe and environmentally friendly.
