NOVELTY - Anode material comprises lithium manganese iron phosphate and carbon coating layer coated on the surface of the lithium manganese iron phosphate, where the anode material includes 020 crystal plane, 121 crystal plane and 131 crystal plane on the surface, the grain size of the 020 crystal plane is D(020), the grain size of the 121 crystal plane is D(121), the grain size of the 131 crystal plane is D(131), α equal to D(020)/D(121)+D(131)/D(020), and α is 1.5-2.5. USE - The anode material is useful in lithium ion battery (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The anode material: has α value of 1.5-2.5, which improves the electron conductivity and lithium ion conductivity of the anode material, and improves the kinetic performance of the anode material; and improves the rate performance of the lithium ion battery. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for preparation of the anode material, comprising mixing lithium source, manganese source, iron source, phosphorus source and carbon source, and performing wet grinding to obtain ground product with D50 of 0.1-1 μm, then spray drying the ground product to obtain intermediate product, and subjecting the intermediate product to at least one heat treatment to obtain final product.
