NOVELTY - Manufacturing graphene from graphene oxide and/or graphite oxide using tomato juice comprises: forming a suspension comprising a solvent and a product of oxidation of graphite, where the product of oxidation of graphite comprising graphene oxide and/or graphite oxide; adding fresh tomato juice to the suspension; exfoliating the graphite and/or graphite oxide; after exfoliation, allowing the suspension with added tomato juice to sit quiescently for a time period at a temperature of 18-25 degrees C to allow the graphene oxide and/or graphite oxide to be at least partially reduced to graphene; and after the time period, separating the at least partially reduced graphene oxide and/or at least partially reduced graphite oxide from the suspension. USE - The method is useful for manufacturing graphene from graphene oxide and/or graphite oxide using tomato juice (claimed).
