NOVELTY - A graphite alkene based gas diffusion electrode comprises platinum nanometer film, reduction-oxidation graphene layer, a carbon paper and the reduced graphene oxide layer located between platinum nano film and carbon paper, where the pore coverage of the carbon paper is 80-98 %. USE - Graphite alkene based gas diffusion electrode for use in proton exchange membrane fuel cell. ADVANTAGE - The graphite alkene based gas diffusion electrode can be prepared with high electrochemically active area and better oxidation performance of the formic acid. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for a method for preparing graphite alkene based gas diffusion electrode, which involves preparing oxidized graphite solution by Hummers method, diluting the graphite oxide solution, suctioning the oxidized Graphite solution, drop coating on the carbon paper, placing the carbon paper in the oven for drying, putting the dried carbon paper into a tubular furnace, inletting hydrogen argon mixed gas, sintering at high temperature and subjecting the graphite oxide to heat reducing treatment to obtain reduced graphene oxide, sputtering the platinum to carbon of the reduced oxidation graphene covering paper by direct current magnetic control sputtering method to obtain the gas diffusion electrode.
