NOVELTY - Preparing fiber foam material for oil adsorption comprises (a) cutting hydrophobic thermoplastic polymers with a melting point difference of more than 20degreesC into short fibers of a certain length (higher melting point thermoplastic polymers are short fibers, lower melting point thermoplastic polymers can be either short fibers or micron-sized particles), (b) mechanically stirring thermoplastic polymers and foaming agent at room temperature in a suitable container, uniformly dispersing fibers and/or micron-sized particles, and trapping a large amount of air in the pores between the fibers to form a fiber foam precursor, (c) achieving rapid thermal bonding, the foaming agent decomposes gas and overflows from the resulting fibrous foam, leaving more pores, (d) cooling at room temperature, and forming a fibrous foam material with high porosity. USE - The preparing fiber foam material for oil adsorption. ADVANTAGE - The preparation process is simple, fast, low in cost, high in oil absorption rate, free of organic solvent, non-toxic and environmentally friendly, stable in structure and performance, and can be reused for many times after extrusion and regeneration.
