NOVELTY - Preparation of cyclic carbonate comprises adding autoclave with 80-100 pts. wt. epoxy compound, 1-5 pts. wt. lanthanum-modified graphene catalyst, 0.05-0.5 pt. wt. 4-dimethylaminopyridine, 0.5-2.8 pts. wt. calcium hydroxyphosphate, 0.6-1.2 pts. wt. cyclodextrin and 0.5-2.8 pts. wt. ammonium bromide, stirring, ultrasonically dispersing for 20-30 minutes, sealing, vacuumizing, replacing air with carbon dioxide for times, keeping pressure at 0.5-5 MPa, and heating to 130-160 degrees C for 3-8 hours; and dissolving in 200-300 pts. wt. organic solvent, filtering off catalyst, washing liquid phase for 3 times with saturated brine, drying with desiccant, and evaporating solvent. USE - Method for preparation of cyclic carbonate. ADVANTAGE - The method does not use heavy metal catalyst, uses lanthanum-modified graphene catalyst which overcomes the quat. ammonium salt which has hard to separate and low activity problems, and has low cost, mild reaction condition, high efficiency, good cycle stability, and no metal pollution problem.
