NOVELTY - Preparing material surface loaded with platinum-cobalt nano particles comprise (1) dissolving the platinum precursor and cobalt precursor in N-N dimethylformamide, ultrasonically processing to obtain the precursor solution A, dissolving the carbon material and benzoic acid in N-N dimethylformamide, ultrasonically processing to obtain suspension B, (2) uniformly mixing the precursor solution A and suspension B in the step (1), reacting for 100-300 minutes at the temperature of 130-500℃, separating solid and liquid, drying solid, and (3) placing the drying solid in the nitrogen atmosphere, the temperature is 120-1000℃, and keeping the temperature for 0.5- 10 hours, cooling to room temperature to obtain the catalyst of carbon material surface with platinum-cobalt nano particles. USE - The method is useful for preparing material surface loaded with platinum-cobalt nano particles, which is used in proton exchange membrane fuel cell. Can also be used in fuel cell of hybrid vehicle, electric vehicle, plug-in hybrid electric vehicle and hydrogen-powered vehicle. ADVANTAGE - The method: introduces a low-cost transition metal to form a platinum-cobalt intermetallic compound, which not only can improve the activity and stability of the platinum catalyst, but also can reduce the use amount of platinum, and reduce the cost of the catalyst.
