NOVELTY - The apparatus has an insulating film (112,114) that is formed on a pair of back-gate electrodes (113,123). A first graphene layer (115) and a second graphene layer (125) are formed on the insulating film. A connection electrode (116) is provided to connect the pair of graphene layers. A voltage multiplier circuit (130) is connected to the electrodes. A first back gate electrode is provided directly under the first graphene layer. A second back gate electrode is provided directly below the second graphene layer. An alternating voltage arose between the first electrode and the second electrode is amplified in the voltage multiplier circuit, when a voltage is applied to the back-gate electrodes by turns. USE - Optical sensor apparatus for detecting infrared rays and terahertz wave from visible light region. ADVANTAGE - The electromotive force which arose in the optical sensor can be increased.
