NOVELTY - A bioactive graphene composite hydrogel electrode comprises tri-dimensional hydrogel loaded with highly bioactive bacteria. USE - Bioactive graphene composite hydrogel electrode used in microorganism fuel battery (claimed), environment repair, biosensor, biocatalytical applications, electrochemical energy storage and superconducting capacitor. ADVANTAGE - The composite hydrogel electrode can be directly connected to the anode of the microorganism fuel battery, does not need additional microbial inoculation, has high biological activity, higher electrochemical activity, large surface area, can be loaded into high density viable cells, and provides fuel cells which can be started instantly and have improved current density and power density. The electrode is prepared economically by a simple process which can be scaled up easily. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of the composite hydrogel electrode.
