NOVELTY - Preparing graphene modified activated carbon composite involves utilizing graphene oxide sol and petroleum coke as raw materials to obtain graphene composite activated carbon by pre-activation treatment, activation treatment and post-treatment. The petroleum coke is pulverized in ball mill and sieved to obtain 300-400 meshes raw material. The particle size is controlled at 20-50 mu m. The concentration of the graphene sol is controlled at 5-20 mg/ml. The obtained raw materials are dispersed and mixed in polar solvent. The mass ratio of the graphene sol and the petroleum coke is 1-10%. USE - Method for preparing graphene modified activated carbon composite for supercapacitor (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method enables to prepare graphene modified activated carbon composite that has high conductivity, good performance, large area and high capacity. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparing graphene modified activated carbon composite involves utilizing graphene oxide sol and petroleum coke as raw materials to obtain graphene composite activated carbon by pre-activation treatment, activation treatment and post-treatment. The polar solvent is mixed with potassium hydroxide in mass ratio of 1:2-3.5. The alkali coal mass ratio is calculated based on the mass of the petroleum coke. The processed raw materials are heated and stirred at 90-100 degrees C. The solvent is dried and raw materials are added in activation furnace. The raw materials are heated to 700-850 degrees C under inert atmosphere for 5-60 minutes. The obtained product is cooled, and washed with boiling water, acid and deionized water to obtain neutral product. The obtained product is dried to obtain activated carbon.
