NOVELTY - High throughput system comprises (a) at least one sampler comprising at least one metamaterial membrane absorber located at a propagation path of collected media being chosen from an aerosol, any airborne compound, a volatile compound, and their combination, released by the breath of at least one tested individual, where metamaterial membrane absorber is configured to trap the collected media, and (b) a controller configured to receive data indicative of the collected media being scanned with electromagnetic radiation in THz range and processing data for identifying a signature being indicative of virus infected or virus free individuals to provide detection of virus infected or virus free individuals. USE - The high throughput system is useful for detecting virus infected or virus free individual from tested individual. The virus is a family of coronavirus, COVID-19, influenza, avian influenza or their combination (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The high throughput system ensures label-free, noncontact, noninvasive and nondestructive detection of virus infected or virus free individual from tested individual. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) a high throughput method for detecting at least one virus infected or virus free individual from at least one tested individual involves (a) receiving data indicative of a collected media being chosen from aerosol, any airborne compound, volatile compounds and their combination, being scanned with electromagnetic radiation in the THz range, and (b) processing data for identifying a signature being indicative of virus infected or virus free individuals; and (2) a sampler comprising a proximal end and a distal end interconnected by a longitudinal axis, and at least one metamaterial membrane positioned along the longitudinal axis and configured to receive the exhaled breath of tested individual.
