▎ 摘 要
NOVELTY - A device comprises an alkaline electrolyte in an electrochemical bath provided with a pair of electrodes. The electrolyte comprises an organic alkaline tetramethylammonium hydroxide. The anode electrode comprises a carbon brush electrode and cathode electrode comprises a copper plate. USE - Device used for synthesis of graphene (claimed) used in nanodevice applications e.g. optoelectronic and sensor applications e.g. nanocrystalline semiconducting metal oxide-based gas sensor, and ultrasensitive and ultra-fast electronic sensors. ADVANTAGE - The device provides graphene with excellent quality and utilizes low voltage to initiate exfoliation of graphene flakes/sheets. The synthesis of graphene is simple, efficient and economical. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for synthesis of graphene, which involves adding tetramethylammonium hydroxide electrolyte into the electrochemical bath, passing a static bias of 0.1-2.5 V to the carbon brush electrode for 5-60 seconds followed by passing a bias of plus minus 8 V to the carbon brush electrode at an interval of 6 seconds for 18-22 minutes to obtain graphene sheets/flakes, and collecting the flakes and washing.
