NOVELTY - A flame retardant graphene-high impact polystyrene composition comprises 100 pts. wt. graphene, 80-100 pts. wt. high impact polystyrene, 4-6 pts. wt. magnesium hydrate, 5-7 pts. wt. red phosphorus, 10-30 pts. wt. organic montmorillonite, 15-35 pts. wt. MPPO, 12-18 pts. wt. nano aluminum hydroxide, 15-35 pts. wt. styrene-butadiene styrene, 10-20 triphenyl phosphate and 0.5-2.5 pts. wt. stearic acid. USE - Flame retardant graphene-high impact polystyrene composition (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The flame retardant graphene-high impact polystyrene composition has excellent self-extinguishing property, Vicat softening point of 100-120 degrees C, bending strength of 45-65 MPa, flexural modulus of 2200-2400 MPa, elongation at break of 50-70%, tensile strength of 45-55 MPa, notch impact strength of 105-135 kJ/m2, oxygen index of 30-35%, Rockwell hardness of 10-110, melt flow index of 7.5-9.5 g/10 minutes and is manufactured economically by a simple and easy process.
