NOVELTY - Preparation of one-dimensional nanowire hydroxy cerium carbonate/graphene composite material involves mixing graphene oxide solution and ethylene glycol solution, ultrasonically treating to obtain a uniform mixed solution (M1), adding cerium nitrate hexahydrate to the mixed solution (M1), uniformly stirring by magnetic force to obtain a suspension mixture (M2), adding sodium chloride and urea to the mixture (M2), adjusting the pH to 12-13 to obtain a mixture (M3), hydrothermally reacting the mixture (M3) in a reactor, naturally cooling to room temperature to obtain a mixed solution (M4), centrifuging, collecting the precipitate, washing the precipitate with a mixture of ethanol and deionized water 4-6 times, and drying the precipitate. USE - Preparation of one-dimensional nanowire hydroxy cerium carbonate/graphene composite material (claimed) for noble metal catalyst. ADVANTAGE - The process is simple with high efficiency, and is suitable for large-scale production, and uses easily available raw materials, uses carbon cerium ore which enables splitting of water to generate hydroxide which effectively enhances the stability of the noble metal catalyst.
