NOVELTY - Preparing modified soy protein comprises mixing soy protein, cetyl alcohol and organic solvent, and reacting at 60-70 degrees C for 3-5 hours to obtain final product. USE - The modified soy protein is useful: as a modifier in preparing modified materials of nano fillers including graphene, graphite, and expanded graphite; and for preparation of polymer nanocomposite material (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The modified soy protein: reduces the particle size of soybean protein, and achieves denaturation in organic solvents. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for: (1) modified soy protein prepared by above method; and (2) modified nano filler comprising nano filler and modifier, where the modifier is the modified soybean protein; (3) polymer nanocomposite material comprising polymer matrix and the modified nano filler; and (4) preparing polymer nanocomposite material comprising dispersing the modified nano filler and polymer matrix in organic solvent and mixing well to obtain suspension, placing the suspension on substrate and removing the organic solvent and moisture to obtain final product.
