NOVELTY - A composite material comprises 60-70 pts. wt. glass fiber reinforced polypropylene, 3-10 pts. wt. graphene, 5-10 pts. wt. toughening agent, 2-3 pts. wt. dispersant, 0.5-2 pts. wt. antioxidant, 8-12 pts. wt. flame retardant composition and 1-8 pts. wt. other additives. USE - Composite material for battery casing and home appliances and electronic industries. ADVANTAGE - The composite material has excellent impact resistance, high rigidity, and excellent flame retardance. The process is simple and economical. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of composite material, which involves adding 4-8 mu m graphene slurry comprising 5-15 wt.% graphene to reaction kettle, stirring and heating to 60-85 degrees C, adding 0.5-2.0 wt.% surfactant and 1-3 wt.% coupling agent based on weight of graphene solid to reaction kettle for surface treatment, stirring for 3-4 hours to obtain modified graphene, and finally washing and drying to obtain dry modified graphene, adding toughening agent, dispersant, antioxidant, flame retardant composition and other additives into low-speed mixer for 1 minute and mixing glass fiber reinforced polypropylene into low-speed mixer for at least 2 minutes at 90 rpm, adding mixture from main feed port of twin-screw extruder, and adding modified graphene from side feed port of twin-screw extruder, extruding at 180-230 degrees C and pelletizing.
