NOVELTY - Synthesis of nano silicon carbide at low temperature involves carrying out constant-temperature heat treatment of clean rice hulls in air atmosphere to obtain heat treated product containing trace carbon, mixing the product with mixed salt and magnesium powder, carrying out constant-temperature heat treatment in inert atmosphere to obtain heat treated product (A), stirring heat treated product (A) in hydrochloric acid for 3-6 hours, separating, washing and vacuum drying to obtain nano silicon powder containing trace oxygen and carbon, mixing nano silicon powder with carbon source, ball milling for a period of time to obtain silicon and carbon composite material, mixing silicon and carbon composite material with magnesium powder, carrying out constant-temperature heat treatment in inert atmosphere to obtain heat treated product (B), stirring the product (B) in hydrochloric acid for 2-8 hours, separating, washing, and vacuum drying. USE - Synthesis of nano silicon carbide at low temperature uses in electric field emission application, electronic device, microwave absorber, catalyst, capacitor, sensor and biological probe. ADVANTAGE - The method is simple, has high efficiency and less expensive, synthesizes nano silicon carbide at low temperature, using superfine nano-silicon particle powder and graphene oxide prepared by using biomass material as raw material, which can increase the reaction area to reduce the reaction of silicon-carbide synthesis reaction. The method uses rice hull as main raw material, thus contributing the recycling of agricultural waste.
