NOVELTY - An elastic aerogel derived high capacity silica carbon lithium cathode material comprises methyltrimethoxysilane as monomer, hexadecyl trimethyl ammonium chloride as modification and pore forming accelerator, diluted hydrochloric acid preparing solution environment and propylene oxide as material with mesoporous structure as gelling agent. USE - Elastic aerogel derived high capacity silica carbon lithium cathode material. ADVANTAGE - The material contains proper amount of elemental carbon and large amount of silicon-oxygen-carbon tetrahedron which can generate reversible circulation, and improves electrochemical cycle performance of silicon-oxygen carbon cathode. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for a method for preparing elastic aerogel derived high capacity silica-carbon lithium cathode material comprising adding diluted hydrochloric acid in hexadecyl trimethyl ammonium chloride, uniformly mixing at room temperature to obtain precursor solution, adding methyltrimethoxysilane in precursor solution, stirring at room temperature after adding propylene oxide in stirring process, stirring to obtain gel precursor solution, transferring gel precursor solution to oven for standing to obtain methyltrimethoxysiloxane wet sol, solvent replacing methyltrimethoxysiloxane wet sol to obtain methyltrimethoxysiloxane wet sol, standing and drying to obtain methyltrimethoxysiloxane gel block, taking methyltrimethoxysiloxane gel block and performing high temperature heat treatment in inert gas atmosphere.
