NOVELTY - Preparing graphene reinforced polyketone fiber comprises (a) mixing the graphene and 0.05-2 pts. wt. surface treatment agent uniformly, then adding 98-99.95 pts. wt. polyketone pellets and continuing mixing uniformly to obtain graphene/polyketone mixture, where the polyketone is a copolymer of ethylene, carbon monoxide and propylene, (b) melt-spinning the graphene/polyketone mixture to prepare molten filaments, and (c) cooling the molten filaments by an air tunnel, drawing by a hot roll and heat-setting. USE - The method is useful for preparing graphene reinforced polyketone fiber. ADVANTAGE - The method: has high barrier effect, high thermal conductivity; utilizes the barrier properties of graphene to weaken the force between the ketone groups; increases the rate of heat transfer from the equipment to the polymer molecular chain; and reduces the time required for polyketone to form a crystal-free melt. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for graphene reinforced polyketone fiber prepared by the above method.
