NOVELTY - A graphene enhanced copper base composite material is prepared by adding graphite powder and sodium nitrate into concentrated conical bottle installed with sulfuric acid under ice water bath condition, mixing and stirring, adding potassium permanganate under ice water bath condition, stirring to obtain mixed liquid of green red color, and heat preserving; and adding distilled water, heat preserving, adding distilled water and hydrogen peroxide to obtain light yellow mixed liquid, washing using hydrochloric acid solution and distilled water, filtering, and freeze-drying. USE - Method for preparing graphene enhanced copper base composite material. ADVANTAGE - The method uses static automatic assembling for uniform dispersion of graphene on copper basal body, avoids ball-milling treatment to deal with the size of the destruction of graphene and the work of the copper substrate hardening phenomenon, and increases mechanical property, tensile strength reaching to 5-12%, hardness reaching to 5-20% and thermal conductivity reaching 5-10%. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - A graphene enhanced copper base composite material is prepared by: (A) adding 1 g graphite powder and 1 g sodium nitrate into concentrated conical bottle installed with 46 mL sulfuric acid under ice water bath condition, mixing and stirring for 20 minutes, adding 6 g potassium permanganate under ice water bath condition, stirring for 40 minutes to obtain mixed liquid of green red color, and heat preserving at 30-40 degrees C for 1 hour; (B) adding 40 ml distilled water at 30-40 degrees C, heat preserving to 85-95 degrees C for 30 minutes to obtain brown mixed liquid, adding 100 mL distilled water and 6 ml hydrogen peroxide at room temperature to obtain light yellow mixed liquid, washing using 3% hydrochloric acid solution and distilled water to pH value of 6-7, filtering, and freeze-drying for 12 hours to obtain graphene oxide with negative electric charge; (C) adding copper powder into 1 wt.% cetrimonium bromide (CTAB) solution, ultrasonically dispersing for 20-60 minutes, magnetic stirring for 1-2 hours, and washing using distilled water to obtain CTAB modified copper powder with positive electric charge; (D) adding 100 g CTAB modified copper powder into 100 ml distilled water, stirring at room temperature for 30 minutes to obtain copper powder suspension, ultrasonically dispersing 0.1-0.5 g graphene oxide into 50 mL distilled water for 1 hour to obtain graphene oxide aqueous dispersion, adding copper powder suspension, stirring to mix liquid, adsorbing graphene oxide with negative electric charge on surface of copper powder with positive electric charge by electrostatic attraction, stirring to transparent and colorless, filtering, and freeze-drying for 8 hours to obtain graphene oxide-copper composite powder; and (E) placing into graphite mold, sintering under argon gas protection at 900 degrees C for 1-2 hours at 25 MPa, and naturally cooling to room temperature. The graphite mold surface is coated with boron nitride barrier layer. The ratio of copper powder and CTAB solution is 1 g:1-2 mL.
