NOVELTY - A friction drive belt (1) comprises a compression rubber layer (5) having a friction transmission surface. At least a portion of the friction transmission surface can be brought into contact with a pulley. The friction transmission surface of the compression rubber layer is formed of a vulcanizate of a rubber composition comprising a rubber component and graphene. USE - Friction drive belt e.g. low edge cogged V-belt (claimed) used for two-wheeled motor vehicle and snowmobile. Can also be used for V-ribbed belt and flat belt. ADVANTAGE - The friction drive belt has excellent abrasion resistance, side pressure resistance, durability, sliding performance, and reduced heat generation and noise when slid.
