NOVELTY - Preparation of graphite-phase carbon nitride quantum dot/graphene oxide composite photocatalytic material involves placing concentrated sulfuric acid, graphite powder and sodium nitrate in ice water bath, stirring, adding potassium permanganate powder, reacting, heating, adding deionized water, transferring to oil bath, adding deionized water and hydrogen peroxide solution, filtering, washing filter cake with hydrochloric acid solution, dispersing in deionized water, centrifuging, mixing sodium citrate and urea, pulverizing, transferring to PTFE-lined high-pressure reactor and reacting. USE - Method for preparing graphite-phase carbon nitride quantum dot/graphene oxide composite photocatalytic material (claimed) used for degradation of organic dyes, particularly rhodamine B and methyl orange. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparation of graphite-phase carbon nitride quantum dot/graphene oxide composite photocatalytic material comprises: (A) placing 10-30 mL concentrated sulfuric acid, 200-1000 mg 8000-mesh graphite powder and 1-3 g sodium nitrate in ice water bath, stirring and reacting for 0.5-2 hours, adding 1-5 g potassium permanganate powder, continuously stirring in ice water bath, reacting for 1-3 hours, heating at 20-45 degrees C for 0.5-2 hours and slowly adding dropwise 30-50 mL deionized water to obtain reaction product; (B) transferring reaction product to oil bath at 90-110 degrees C for 5-30 minutes, taking out, cooling to room temperature and adding 50-100 mL deionized water and hydrogen peroxide solution; (C) filtering if there are no bubbles generated, washing filter cake twice with 400 mL of 1-10 wt.% hydrochloric acid solution, dispersing in deionized water and centrifuging at speed of 8000 revolutions/minute for 3-10 minutes for 3-6 times until pH value of filtrate is neutral; (D) mixing 0.05-1 g sodium citrate and 0.05-0.2 g urea, pulverizing into fine powder, transferring to PTFE-lined high-pressure reactor, reacting at 150-200 degrees C for 0.5-2 hours, naturally cooling to room temperature to obtain yellow graphite carbon nitride quantum dots, adding to concentrated nitric acid, nitriding under reflux in water bath at 50-100 degrees C for 3-8 hours and cooling to room temperature; and (E) dispersing graphite oxide in 5-20 mL deionized water, stirring for 5-20 minutes, adding quantum dots, ultrasonically processing at 40 kHz and 140 W for 4-30 minutes, standing for 24-48 hours, vacuum-drying at 40-80 degrees C for 12-36 hours and grinding.
