NOVELTY - Composite comprises polypropylene, polyamide 6, and a compatibilizer in the weight/weight parts ratio of 70:30:4 respectively; and an additional 1-5 phr graphene nanoplatelets. USE - The composite is useful for automotive applications. ADVANTAGE - The composite: has improves tensile strength, Young's modulus, thermal stability, limited oxygen index, and reduction in water uptake of the composite are all improved by graphene nanoplatelets; provides compatibilizer provides improved flexural strength and modulus; and has compatibilizer that improves blending and homogeneity and allows stress to be distributed more evenly for improved reinforcement.
