▎ 摘 要
NOVELTY - Applying a graphene coating to a substrate containing iron or aluminum, comprises: providing a metallic layer on a surface of the substrate; and contacting the metallic layer with a source of carbon atoms to provide a graphene coating on the metallic layer. USE - The method is useful for applying a graphene coating to a substrate containing iron or aluminum, where the substrate is e.g. chain (all claimed), gear, coupling, bearing or sprocket. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for: (1) a substrate comprising iron or aluminum with a metallic layer on a surface of the substrate and a graphene coating disposed on the metallic layer; (2) a chain comprising many chain link members and many pins interconnecting the link members, where a surface of at least one of the chain link member and/or a surface of at least one of the pin is provided with a graphene coating; and (3) a chain comprising many chain link members, many pins interconnecting the link members, and a bush and/or roller supported on at least one of the pin, where a surface of the bush and/or roller is provided with a graphene coating.
