▎ 摘 要
NOVELTY - The double-core optical fiber electro-optic modulator based on double-layer graphene comprises a first graphene layer (3-1) grown in the D-shaped side polishing area by using a chemical vapor deposition method. The first layer of graphene is covered with aluminum oxide layer having larger refractive index. An electrode (6) is arranged on the aluminum oxide transition layer (4). The second graphene layer (3-2) is mechanically transferred on the transition layer, and the Fermi level of the second layer of graphene is adjusted by applying an external voltage together with the first layer of graphene through the electrode. The second graphene layer is covered with an organic material polyvinyl butyral (PVB) layer (5). The interferometer is formed with a Mach-Zehnder structure at the front end and the rear end of the side polishing area by a fused tapering method. USE - Double-core optical fiber electro-optical modulator for optical fiber communication. ADVANTAGE - The double-core optical fiber electro-optical modulator based on double-layer graphene has simple and compact structure, high modulation rate, low insertion loss, and low modulation voltage. DESCRIPTION OF DRAWING(S) - The drawing shows a structure schematic diagram of D-type side double-core optical fiber electro-optical modulator based on double-layer graphene.
