NOVELTY - Preparing graphene quantum dot involves mixing graphite powder with a mixture of sulfuric acid and nitric acid and then sonicating the mixed material. The sonicated material is subjected for microwave irradiation and then the irradiated material is heated at 80-120 degrees C. The heated material is filtered and then the filtered material is dialyzed. The dialyzed material is collected to obtain graphene quantum dot and then the pH value of the raphene quantum dot is regulated. The obtained material is heated at 200 degrees C and then the heated material is dialyzed for 500-3000 times. USE - Method for preparing graphene quantum dot used in organic light emitting diode material (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method enables to prepare graphene quantum dot that emits white light with fluorescence characteristic, and with high yield.
