NOVELTY - Preparation of hydroxylated graphene thermally conductive phenolic resin comprises adding aqueous solution of graphene powder with pH of 3-5 in hydrogen peroxide solution and vanadium pentoxide; ultrasonically treating to obtain hydroxylated graphene solution; washing; filtering; freeze-drying to obtain hydroxylated graphene powder; mixing hydroxylated graphene powder with phenols; and processing mixture into hydroxylated graphene thermally conductive phenolic resin. USE - The method is for preparation of hydroxylated graphene thermally conductive phenolic resin used for heat dissipating device. ADVANTAGE - The method produces hydroxylated graphene phenolic resin can effectively overcomes poor thermal conductivity of pure phenolic resin and increases it from 0.2 W/m-k to 0.6-0.9 W/m-k, enhances thermal conductivity of phenolic resins, and has good insulation properties, hardness and viscosity properties.
