▎ 摘  要

NOVELTY - Producing water soluble graphene involves preparing a water extract of Syzygium cumini leaf extract (ScLE) and adding into the partially reduced graphene oxide to produce water soluble graphenes. USE - The method is useful for producing water soluble graphene used for fabrication of film on glass or and any other surface (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The ScLE-functionalized graphene is water-soluble and biocompatible, which makes it a novel carbon material promising for enormous electronic, sensing, environmental and biological applications. Graphene sheets played an important role as connectors to assemble these active functional groups of polyphenolics in ScLE, which offered a very biocompatible environment for further biological applications and secondary functionalization using active molecules. Water soluble graphene is of high purity and can be used for the electronic, sensing, environmental and biological useful device fabrications. It is stable. The process is simple and does not involve the use of costly reagents and sophisticated instruments. It can be scaled up for industrial use. The water soluble graphene possesses various benefits such as promising electronic, sensing, environmental and biological applications by increasing the solubility of it. The process can be extended for the preparation of various other graphene based nanocomposites. It is not only economical but also environmentally safe.
