NOVELTY - Periodically increasing discharge voltage of carbon fluoride by destroying graphene comprises (i) destroying the periodic structure of graphene using plasma bombardment or laser etching; and (ii) fluorinating the graphene using fluorine gas to obtain a fluorinated carbon material. USE - The method for periodically increasing discharge voltage of carbon fluoride by destroying graphene useful for lithium primary battery (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method improves the discharge voltage of carbon fluoride by destroying the periodicity of graphene, and is simple and effective in operation. The prepared carbon fluoride material has both carbon-fluoride ionic bonds and high specific capacity, and has discharge voltage higher than that of commercial fluorinated graphene materials.
