NOVELTY - A cupric oxide/ manganese dioxide composite nano material comprises sheet-shaped structure as microscopic morphology. The sheet-shaped structure has thickness of 15-20 nm and gap of 20-50 nm. USE - Cupric oxide/ manganese dioxide composite nano material is used for preparing electrode (claimed) for supercapacitor. ADVANTAGE - The cupric oxide/ manganese dioxide composite nano material has excellent electrochemical performance. The electrode prepared using the composite nano material has high specific surface area and improved internal space. The supercapacitor using electrode has high energy density and excellent specific capacitance. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of the composite nano material, which involves preparing mixed solution of copper sulfate and sodium hydroxide in a molar ratio of 1:4, heating, filtering, washing with deionized water, acetone and ethanol, drying to obtain nano cupric oxide with microscopic morphology of sheet structure, preparing potassium permanganate solution with a concentration of 0.001-0.005M, and manganese acetate solution with a concentration of 0.001-0.005 M, dispersing 0.1 g flake nano cupric oxide powder in manganese acetate solution, adding potassium permanganate solution, mixing, heating, filtering, washing with deionized water, acetone and ethanol, drying, and obtaining cupric oxide/manganese dioxide composite material with flaky structure. The concentration of copper sulfate is 0.001-0.005 M.
