USE - Preparation of oxidized graphene/cellulose-based composite hydrogel used as heavy metal ion adsorbent (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method enables simple and environmentally-friendly preparation of oxidized graphene/cellulose-based composite hydrogel with three-dimensional network structure and improved mechanical performance. The composite hydrogel ensures easy separation, recovery and adsorption of heavy metal ions. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparation of oxidized graphene/cellulose-based composite hydrogel involves mixing oxidized graphene and 4-methylmorpholine-N-oxide, stirring at 100-120 degrees C to prepare an oxidized graphene suspension, dissolving cellulose in 4-methylmorpholine-N-oxide to obtain cellulose solution, mixing oxidized graphene suspension and cellulose solution at 100-120 degrees C for 6-8 hours to prepare a mixed solution, adding deionized water in a volume ratio of 4-6:1, leaving still for 8-12 hours to obtain solidified product, washing solidified product with deionized water to remove 4-methylmorpholine-N-oxide and freeze-drying at -40 degrees C to 60 degrees C.
