NOVELTY - Preparation of monolithic graphene oxide powder involves mixing graphite, potassium nitrate and sulfuric acid, adding potassium permanganate, oxidizing, adding deionized water, heating, adding deionized water and hydrogen peroxide, reacting to form bright yellow suspension of graphite oxide, centrifuging, repeatedly washing to gradually insert water molecules into graphite oxide layer, evenly dispersing to obtain graphene oxide hydrosol and spray-drying. USE - Preparation of monolithic graphene oxide powder (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method enables simple preparation of monolithic graphene oxide powder with improved dispersibility and controllable size. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparation of monolithic graphene oxide powder involves mixing 1 g graphite, 1 g potassium nitrate and 46 ml sulfuric acid, stirring for 10 minutes, adding 6 g potassium permanganate, stirring for 6 hours, oxidizing, adding 80 ml deionized water, heating at 90 degrees C for 30 minutes, adding 200 ml deionized water and 6 ml 30% hydrogen peroxide, reacting to form bright yellow suspension of graphite oxide, centrifuging to remove impurity ions, repeatedly washing to gradually insert water molecules into graphite oxide layer, evenly dispersing to obtain graphene oxide hydrosol and spray-drying at 200 degrees C to obtain dried graphene oxide powder.
