NOVELTY - An electrode paste composition comprises phosphate ester additive (I). USE - Paste composition for electrode of lithium ion battery (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The phosphate ester additive can promote dispersion, reduce surface resistance, reduce polarization and improve the conductivity of the slurry, so it can improve the dynamic performance of the lithium ion battery, cycle stability and cycle life. The protection of the anode surface is improved. The side reaction between the active material and the electrolyte is reduced. The dispersibility of the electrode slurry is improved, so as to improve the low temperature discharge performance and cycle performance. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An electrode paste composition comprises phosphate ester of formula (I) as additive. R1 = 2-7C alkylene, 2-7C alkenylene, 2-7C alkynylene or 7-13C phenylalkylene; R2 = H, 2-7C alkenyl, 2-7C alkynyl or 6-13C phenylalkyl; and R3 = 1-3C haloalkyl or 1-3C alkyl (optionally substituted by trimethylsilyl).
