NOVELTY - Conductive composite fibers contain graphene dispersed in a polymer matrix. USE - The graphene-based conductive composite fiber is useful for the fabrication of: a wing or a cockpit of a fuselage or a plane; a flexible offshore armor; an element of a car body, a chassis engine or a supporting part for an automobile; a car seat overlay; a structural member for a building, a road or a bridge; an anti-static packing and textile such as an anti-static curtain; an anti-static cloth or a material for protecting and/or conditioning the silos; a furnishing element such as a furniture; a filter; an electromagnetic shielding device for the protection of electronic components; a conductive cable; a sensor; a hydrogen storage device; a biomedical device such as a suture, a prosthesis or a catheter; a display; a keyboard or a connector; or an electromagnetic wave receiver and an electromagnetic wave transmitter (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The lightweight graphene-based conductive composite fiber exhibits excellent electric conductivity, high stability, and good mechanical resistance.
