NOVELTY - Preparing graphene hydrophobic oil-absorbing sponge comprises (i) washing polyurethane sponge in absolute ethanol, and drying, (ii) adding natural graphite to concentrated sulfuric acid in ice bath conditions, stirring, adding oxidant, heating, washing, dilute hydrochloric acid and deionized water, adding deionized water for sonication, and diluting with deionized water, (iii) adding the graphene oxide solution and the dimethylacetamide to beaker, oscillating, and dispersing graphene in dimethylacetamide, (iv) further adding dispersion mixed solution and polybutyl methacrylate to three-necked flask, stirring, and defoaming, (v) immersing the washed polyurethane sponge in the homogeneous solution, taking out, placing in sealed container, filling, and performing non-solvent diffusion of water vapor and solution on the surface of the polyurethane sponge, and (vi) taking out polyurethane sponge and placing in distilled water, and placing in vacuum freeze-dryer. USE - The method is useful for preparing graphene hydrophobic oil-absorbing sponge. ADVANTAGE - The sponge has large gap ratio, high-oil absorption performance, good rebound compressibility and improved selective adsorption property. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparing graphene hydrophobic oil-absorbing sponge comprises (i) washing polyurethane sponge in absolute ethanol for 10-20 minutes, and drying in a vacuum drying oven, (ii) adding natural graphite to concentrated sulfuric acid in ice bath conditions, stirring, adding oxidant, heating and reacting, washing with hydrogen peroxide, dilute hydrochloric acid and deionized water, adding deionized water for sonication, and diluting with deionized water to obtain 1-10 mg/ml graphene oxide solution, (iii) adding the graphene oxide solution and the dimethylacetamide to beaker, ultrasonically oscillating for 3-6 hours, and uniformly dispersing graphene in dimethylacetamide to obtain dispersed mixed solution, (iv) further adding dispersion mixed solution and polybutyl methacrylate to three-necked flask, placing in a water bath at 70-100 degrees C and stirring at a constant temperature for 3-6 hours, and defoaming to obtain homogenous solution, (v) immersing the washed polyurethane sponge in the homogeneous solution for 10-30 minutes, taking out, placing in sealed container, filling with distilled water for 3-6 days, and performing non-solvent diffusion of water vapor and solution on the surface of the polyurethane sponge, and (vi) taking out polyurethane sponge and placing in distilled water for 24 hours, and placing in vacuum freeze-dryer for 12-24 hours.
