NOVELTY - Manufacturing mercury sorbent comprises adding the graphene oxide into deionized water, ultrasonicating, adding iron(III) chloride and iron(II) chloride mixed solution, stirring and heating, then adjusting the PH, reacting to obtain black solution, washing and drying to obtain magnetic oxide graphene powder, adding the magnetic graphene oxide into deionized water, ultrasonicating, then adding deionized water into polyvinyl pyrrolidone and glucose, stirring, adding deionized water into aqueous ammonia and silver nitrate, centrifuging separating, washing and freeze-drying. USE - The mercury sorbent is useful for cleaning mercury pollution in the environment. ADVANTAGE - The mercury sorbent can quickly and efficiently absorbs mercury, and can be recycled. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Manufacturing mercury sorbent comprises adding the graphene oxide into deionized water in a mass ratio of 1g : 200 ml, ultrasonicating for more than half an hour, adding iron(III) chloride and iron(II) chloride mixed solution in a mass ratio of 2:1, continuously stirring and heating to 90 degrees C, and then adjusting the PH to 10 using aqueous ammonia, reacting for at least half an hour, then stopping the reaction to obtain black solution, which is absorbed near the beaker with magnet, repeatedly washing with deionized water and drying to obtain magnetic oxide graphene powder, adding the magnetic graphene oxide into deionized water in a mass ratio of 1 g : 400 ml, ultrasonicating for more than half an hour, then orderly adding deionized water with volume ratio of 0.1:1-0.5:1 of polyvinyl pyrrolidone and 2-5 g glucose, and quickly stirring, maintaining the temperature of the solution to 60 degrees C, and adding deionized water into aqueous ammonia and silver nitrate in a volume ratio of 0.1:1-0.4:1 to obtain silver ammonia solution and continuously stirring for 3-10 minutes, then stopping the reaction, centrifuging and separating the reaction solution, washing with deionized water and freeze-drying to obtain silver-plated graphene oxide i.e. the mercury sorbent. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for gaseous mercury absorption self-recycling device comprises a quality instrument and a temperature control furnace, which is located on the set on the quality instrument. The temperature control furnace is provided with a mercury sorbent layer, where one side of the temperature control furnace is provided with an air inlet and the other face is provided with an air outlet and a mercury gas to enter from the air inlet of the gas discharged from the air outlet or mercury outlet after passing through the absorption layer.
