NOVELTY - A fused ring graphene nano ribbon based compound (I) is new. USE - New fused ring graphene nano ribbon based compound used for organic semiconductor devices, and biosensing applications. ADVANTAGE - The compound (I) is prepared by simple, and easy method with high yield, and controllable structure. The product is easy to separate, and purify. The introduction of flexible alkyl chain increases the solubility, stability, and processability of the material. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - A fused ring graphene nano ribbon based compound of formula (I) is new. Ar = groups chosen from formulae (i)-(k); Ar1 = H, phenyl, 3,5-diisopropylphenyl, 4-tert-butylphenyl or 8C branched alkoxyphenyl; X = C; Y' = N; R = 8-24C optionally branched alkyl or alkoxy; a = n/2;and n = graphene nano ribbon repeating unit number of more than 2. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of compound (I).
